Pastor Jim continues our message series today called “Romans 8: No Condemnation.”  During this short series, we will explore what it means to walk in our new life in Christ.  Because of what Jesus accomplished for us, we can have hope as we are transformed into his image, regardless of our earthly circumstances.  Invite someone to attend with you next Sunday @ 10am!

Men’s Cheese Steak Champion Will Be Revealed  After a long & tasty search that included countless miles and calories, all will be revealed.  On Sunday, October 28th after our service, the Men of Solid Rock will present a plaque to the CHAMPION OF THE SR CHEESE STEAK CHALLENGE – as well as partake of another glorious championship cheese steak.  Who’s the winner?  Stay tuned!  It will be announce during the service on October 28th.

The Annual SR Thanksgiving Breakfast is coming up on Sunday, November 18th @ 10 am.  This is a special time of giving thanks to God for all He has done & enjoying great food with the SR family.  Would you like to bring some food?  To help with space, we will have sterno trays will be available for you to take home the week before if you are bringing hot food.  You can also bring, cinnamon rolls, doughnuts, fruit, or anything else that tastes good!  Make plans to attend this special time!  Please sign up on Facebook or in the Cafe so that we can be prepared.

Beginning Wednesday, October 24th @ 7-8 pm: “Changes That Heal” – Christians are suffering from a whole range of emotional problems: anxiety, loneliness, grief over broken relationships, resentment, and feelings of inadequacy.  Often they have been struggling with those problems for years. In this 5 week series, Dr Henry Cloud teaches that there are biblical solutions for your struggles with depression, anxiety, panic, addictions, and guilt, and that these solutions lie in your understanding certain basic developmental tasks. These tasks involve growing up into the ‘likeness’ of the one who created you. Make plans to attend this powerful 5 week series Wednesdays @ 7-8 pm beginning October 24.

Please help us…  Please try to arrive a few minutes before 10am for our morning service.  Due to our smaller building, people entering our service & opening the door can be a distraction during our worship time.  Let’s do our best to be ready to hear from the Lord during our services.  Thanks for your help & understanding in this matter.

The value of a Team is greater than the sum of it’s parts.  This is true regardless of whether you’re talking about a baseball team working hard to win a championship, or the Solid Rock Team working hard for the Champion of our Faith, Jesus Christ.  Both teams need players who will give of themselves in order to accomplish far more than they ever could have alone.   Solid Rock Worship Center is strong, in part, to the great Team of people who faithfully give of themselves for the cause of Christ.

  • Are you interested in rising up to the challenge & becoming a Team Member of Solid Rock Worship Center? If so, see Pastor Jim or visit our website & click on “Team Members” for more info!

Service Opportunities

  • Cleaning Team Needed We need your help. It takes hard work to keep our church looking clean and beautiful. Many hands make light work. Please see Anne Brandhorst if you are interested in helping.
  • Cafe Coordinator Needed Are you an organizer?  We need someone who will make sure the cafe is organized, clean, and food displayed. We want to make sure this area is kept clean and presentable before, during, and after service. If you are willing to make this your ministry, please see Donna.
  • Prayer RequestsWhen you are down to nothing, God is up to something!” Do not be discouraged and walk alone in your difficulty. Reach out to the church family for prayer. Let’s continue to support each other in the faith through committing ourselves to prayer for the church family. Will you commit to praying for needs posted on the FB private page? Prayer Warriors Wanted!

Visit our website to check our calendar, read this bulletin, do the “Daily Bread” devotional, give your tithes & offerings, find helpful links, & more!  This is a great way to let your friends know about Solid Rock as well.  Just click here for more info.

Attention Parents

  • For Toddlers through 5th Grade: During Pastor Jim’s message, your children are welcome to attend our “Children’s Church.”  During this time, they will learn about God’s Word at an age appropriate level, sing songs, and complete activities & crafts.  Don’t worry: if your child needs you, someone from our Children’s Ministry Team will come and get you.
  • For Other Children: While we desire our children to worship alongside their families in our Sanctuary, we realize there are times when our little ones aren’t quite ready for ‘grown up church.’  Sometimes they become a little talkative or can’t seem to sit still.  During these times, please make use of our nursery.  Doing so will help your child learn proper church etiquette, as well as allow others to fully engage in the service.  Our Nursery is located near the rest rooms and equipped with a live video feed of our service and some room for your child to squirm.  If you need assistance, please see one of our Greeters.  Thank for your cooperation.

Did you know that you can also give your Tithes & Offerings Online?  Many in the SR Family enjoy the convenience of giving online through both one-time & scheduled contributions.  Online Giving through our website is safe & secure.   Just click here for more info.
